Happy Cascadia Day! 2019 Roundup in Pictures

Happy May 18 – Cascadia Day!

Every year, we celebrate May 18th as Cascadia Day, a day to celebrate the unique culture and dynamism that makes this region so special.

This year was no different, and we are delighted to share some of our favorite pictures and posts from the hundreds of shared posts, pictures, photos, shout outs, as well as local businesses, organizations libraries, elected officials and public areas that put up displays and participated.

This is Cascadia, and we are Cascadian. Thank you for joining us!

Happy #CascadiaDay! I #upcycled and #dougflag -ified this #jeanjacket just for the occasion! Swipe to see 3.5 hrs of process in 30 seconds. . . Makes me wanna make custom jean jackets for bands 🤩 hint hint, band friends! . . This is my biggest #tsukinekoink project yet. Turned out much brighter than expected and LOVING it. This technique was done by mixing the #ink with shaving cream for the base and with aloe vera for the #tree. I'll be playing with some ink+rubbing alcohol later today for a small #flag making workshop (the same as the prayer flags I posted before). . . . #cascadia #pnw #recycle #upcycle #oldclothesmadenew #embellish #colorful #blue #white #green #pnw #rockerstyle #genderqueer #diy #textile #textileart
